The Canon EF was produced from 1973-1978. EF was built as an electronic version of the F-1. Like the F-1 the EF is built like a tank.

Light meter : Silicon Photocell with a range of EV 18 to -2, the light is measured in center weighted average metering, with less influence from the top of the frame, making it easy to take nicely exposed images with a skyline.
