Canon EF
The Canon EF was produced from 1973-1978. EF was built as an electronic version of the F-1. Like the F-1 the EF is built like a tank.

Lens Mount : FD
Light meter : Silicon Photocell with a range of EV 18 to -2, the light is measured in center weighted average metering, with less influence from the top of the frame, making it easy to take nicely exposed images with a skyline.
Canon AE-1 Program
The Canon AE-1 was introduced in 1981 as the successor to AE-1 5 years previous. With the AE-1 program came the addition of the Program AE mode first introduced with the A-1, the program mode set the shutter speed and aperture automatically with a slight bias toward the shutter, besides the program mode there is a shutter priority auto exposure and full manual modes.
